Further to below, the site has now been moved to a different host server and all software updated so should be a bit more secure. I was rather let down by the company who designed the site three years ago and who (I thought) were maintaining the technical side as they are not responding to any contact and appear to have gone out of business.

My grateful thanks go to a family member who helped overcome the problems, and to Exploration Systems for taking over the hosting.

On 1st October 2018 the site was subjected to malicious alterations. To our knowledge, these have now been reversed but it is not yet clear whether any material was permanently lost from the site, other than some (rather old) ‘News’ items which had been changed and have been removed completely.

Apologies to anyone inconvenienced and we are working to ensure the site is more secure in the future.

Council grant to launch Hethersett archive website will bring village history to life.

The history of Hethersett is being brought alive thanks to a £1350 grant from South Norfolk Council. The grant will fund the launch of a new Hethersett Archive web site providing the public with more information and access to historical documents.
